In 1972, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with honors from De Paul University's College of Commerce. Additionally, he received his CPA Certificate from the University of Illinois the same year. Daugerdas continued his academic pursuit and earned a Juris Doctor degree with honors, cum laude, from De Paul University's College of Law in 1974.


Career History


Numerous significant roles in esteemed financial, legal, and accounting organizations characterize Daugerdas's professional journey. He commenced his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., where he began as a staff member and steadily advanced to the manager position. Eventually, in 1984, he became a partner. From 1974 to 1994, Daugerdas held various key positions, showcasing his expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations as a member of the Mergers, Acquisitions & Reorganizations Tax Specialty Team. Furthermore, as the Head of the Central Region Financial Markets Team, he oversaw tax and audit personnel dealing with various financial markets, including commodities, futures, stocks, bonds, swaps, and various over-the-counter financial instruments and products. Daugerdas also played a pivotal role as the Head of the Chicago Office "On Call" Team. They contributed as a Financial Valuation Services Specialty Team member at Arthur Andersen & Co.


In 1994, Paul Daugerdas joined the Law Offices of Altheimer & Gray as a partner, assuming the esteemed position of Head of the Tax Department and becoming an invaluable member of the Steering Committee. He continued his successful career trajectory as a Shareholder/Partner at the Law Offices of Jenkens & Gilchrist from 1999 to 2002. During this period, he managed the Chicago office and co-directed the Tax Practice. Daugerdas's business acumen further shone through as he served as a member of the Management Advisory Committee during his time at Jenkens & Gilchrist.
